Chicago continued

We made our way to the Shedd Aquarium via a beautiful walk through Northwestern University campus and the city.

Only to find out there was an 1.5 hour long line just to buy tickets. Nope, not our style.

So, we snapped some photos over Lake Michigan and took a water taxi to Navy Pier.

We weren’t overly impressed with Navy Pier. It was pretty “touristy” and the famous Farris Wheel was no longer there.

From there we made our way for an afternoon snack. Then it was back to Michigan Avenue for some shopping.

Grabbed a late sushi dinner, and headed to a rooftop bar at our hotel. It was some amazing fare, and fabulous people watching as the hours passed.

Wrapped up around 12:30AM and headed for our 7AM train back home to see our babies. We do miss them so, but what a great getaway!
