This is the easiest way that I’ve found to make a whole batch of boiled eggs at once. They’re also easier to peal than the normal boiling water option.
Depending on how soft or hard you want your yolks, just depends on how many eggs you do at a time. The more eggs you add the softer the yolk will be. I do a dozen at a time and they’re soft boiled, just like we like them. If you do 1/2 dozen your yolks will be more firm.
Place eggs and 1/2 cup water in the Instant Pot. Close and secure the lid. Make sure steam spout is closed. Place the Instant Pot on Pressure Cook. Make sure your Keep Warm function is turned off.
Set cook time to 5 minutes. It will take 5 minutes for pot to heat up, it will beep, leave it. Then pot will begin cooking for 5 minutes. It will beep, leave it and set a kitchen timer for 5 more minutes. Let eggs sit in pot for 5 minutes after they finish cooking. Get a bowl of ice water and have it ready to place eggs in after 5 minute kitchen timer goes off. **Simplifying…. Eggs are in the Instant Pot for 15 minutes total.**
Remove eggs from pot and immediately place in ice water to cool.
